Trans Sulawesi Bira Toraja Togian Bunaken 25 DAYS
Day 02: Ramang ramang - Tana Beru - Tanjung Bira After breakfast, we will take you on a scenic drive towards Bira. On the way, you will visit Tana Beru, a popular place in Indonesia where Bugisnese and Makassarese are the expert wooden boat builders. Lunch on the way. Arrive in bira than transfer by boat to ilsand of Liukang Loe. Diner and night.
Day 03: snorkeling After breakfast, youbmay snorkell in front of your homsetay or rent a boat to snorkell in island of Kambing, jere is shark spot. Lunch . After noon you may snorkell or free programme, dinner and night.
Day 04: Tanjung Bira – Sengkang After breakfast, you will be transferred to Bira and Sengkang. Lunch on the way. In the afternoon, we will cross Lake Tempe by motorized canoe to admire the magnificent sunset over the lake. Night at the hotel.
Day 05: Lake Tempe – Toraja After breakfast at the hotel, drive towards Tana Toraja. Crossing the country of the Bugis, an ethnic group from South Sulawesi / traditional architecture of their houses on stilts. we will stop in front of the erotic hill, lunch in the local restaurant, Night at the Hotel
Days 06/07/: Toraja country. Two days of discovery of the fascinating Toraja country depending on any ceremonies you will attend. The Torajannais live in houses shaped like boats and worship the water buffalo, the only animal capable of carrying the souls of the deceased along the path of their ancestors. They organize huge funeral ceremonies which last several days; their systems of hanging tombs installed in the cliffs are famous. Visit the villages of Kete with their traditional family houses called Tongkonan, the cliffs of Lemo and its dolls bearing the image of the dead (Tau-Tau), the caves of Londa, the royal tombs of Suaya. Then we will take a short walk to get to Tampang Allo. We will then visit the colorful markets of Makale or Rantepao (depending on the market days). Lunch during the visit. Night at the hotel.
Day 08: Rantepao – Batutumonga – PALOPO Continuation of visits in the morning. We will go by minibus to the village of Akung to meet them and discover the living environment of the inhabitants. Then the walkers will set off for a 2.5 hour hike through bamboo forests and rice fields to the mountain village of Batutumonga. Those who cannot walk long will reach the village by minibus (1 hour drive): The road is magnificent with superb views of the rice fields. Day 09: Palopo – Pendolo Breakfast then departure to Pendolo. Passage to Palopo. The region is Muslim and its capital is Luwu. The Luwu region has beautiful panoramas. Lunch at local restaurant.
